How AI helps you learn

Dictionary illustrations are AI-generated to create clear visual cues for each meaning. When you add your own words, AI can suggest definitions and examples — every published entry is reviewed before it goes live.

Picture-first memory

Every meaning gets its own image, so reviews give you a visual cue — not just a definition to forget.

Hear every word

Built-in US and UK pronunciation with IPA and audio, so you learn how each word actually sounds.

Spaced repetition that adapts

Daily Word Box shows only the phrases your memory is about to forget. Easy words appear less often; tricky ones stay close.

The Story Behind DailyWordBox

A few years ago, I moved to Northern Ireland and realised that knowing English was not always enough for everyday conversations. I started writing down the phrases, idioms, phrasal verbs, and expressions I heard around me. I looked for a tool that could turn those expressions into visual learning cards, generate useful examples, and schedule reviews through spaced repetition. I could not find exactly what I needed, so I built it myself. Today, I am still the first person using DailyWordBox, and I hope it can support other English learners in the same way.
